Samsung keyboard stopped working on lock screen and cannot access settings?

I turn my phone on and try to put in my password and it will not allow me to do so. The only way I got the message "unfortunately , Samsung keyboard has stopped is by pressing emergency call.

Welcome to the forum. Are you able to turn off the phone? Once you turn it back on the reboot may help to clear the error and get the keyboard working again. You could also do a clear cache if the reboot didn't work, but we need to know what kind of phone you have.
