AC Question

I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it didn't crack but afterwards, there was a digital line on the screen. Not physical scratch or crack but a digital light line. However everything still worked. The next day I noticed it constantly flickering a bit under the line, and sometimes when I tried to turn it on it would flicker green and then work the next time. Now when I try to turn the screen on, it flickers green and then goes black, every time. Is there any way to fix this or am I screwed?

Welcome to Android Central.

Try a hard reset. Hold the power button and volume down button until you see the Samsung logo and then let go. Hopefully that will help. If it doesn't I would think then that you have done internal damage.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I was going to try this first, but when I looked how to do a hard reset it said I only found methods of forcing a full factory reset, which would erase all her data, so I didn't want to do that. Will doing what you've described retain all her data - photos etc...?

Thanks.
