Phone's internal memory is full

My Sony Xperia has 8 GB internal memory so i back up all my photos to my drive or keep them on my sd card. But the internal memory shows that photos and videos use 1.15 GB space. I even removed my SD card and checked my phone again and it still shows the same even though there are only 4 photos that weren't yet transferred or backed up.

Backing up your photos is the perfect thing to do, but it only creates a copy elsewhere. The originals are still where they are.

Using your favorite file browser app, see what is taking up all your internal storage. (The SD card is "external storage".)

Pictures in your DCIM folder can be moved to the SD card.
Check the settings in your camera app. It may let you change the default save location to the SD card.

Check the locations of your video and music files. These can be moved to the SD card, too.
The catch is that most streaming apps will hide the locally saved files from you because they do not want to accessing the copyrighted content outside of their app's control.
