AC Question

My S7 Edge screen won't rotate. It failed the gyroscope/magnet self-tests. I'm aware it's a hardware issue due to humidity built up inside the phone from water damage. Is it possible to replace the sensor? I plan to replace the proximity sensor anyhow - would this resolve the issue?

If the device has been exposed to water ingression, my guess would be that some water droplet had shorted across some pins on the circuitry. This would damage the chip itself and replacing the mechanical gyro itself will most likely not be useful...
