My phone won't process my pin?!?

[AC Question]

So last night I turned my phone off and at the time it was working perfectly.
This morning when I got up and turned it on my notifications would pop up on my phone and my phone would prompt if an incorrect PIN was entered but if I entered the correct PIN nothing would work.
Eventually the phone would just switch off... sorta and just sit on the Samsung screen.
Can anyone please help?

Welcome to the forums. Knowing which phone you have would be helpful. Try a soft reset first. You can find the button sequence by googling that with your phone model. Some phones will also go to a backup password if an incorrect PIN is entered a number of times. Try that if the soft reset doesn't work.
