+1 for Google Photos
Install the app on your S3 and then be sure to go into the Google Photos Settings to set it up to your liking. Most importantly is the Backup & Sync function. This will backup your entire photo library up into your online Google account and it will do it automatically (a very, very significant plus as most people don't bother to even set up any backup solution, automatic or manual). If you have a really large photo collection it will take a while to initially upload everything, especially if your online bandwidth connectivity is on the slower end, but once done all your photos can be accessed either on your phone, or if you're phone isn't handy you can just log into your account online by going to https://photos.google.com on your iMac.
Also, by having Google Photos on your S3 whenever you decide to get a newer phone you can just install the Google Photos app on your new phone and you'll continue to have full access to your photo library. (...even if you opt to go with an iPhone as there's a iOS version too.)

I would also mention that if you have Google Photos set to backup your photos at High Quality (which compresses the images a little bit, but not enough to be noticeable by the vast majority of people), you get unlimited backup space for your photos. If you set it to backup at Original Quality, then it will count against your Google Drive space.
