My uncle recently died and I got his lovely Nexus 6. When my mom mailed it to me yesterday, I looked up how to factory reset and wipe, which I did.
After connecting to my wifi, I was then prompted to continue by "signing in with a Google account that was previously synced to the phone". Obviously I don't know my uncle's gmail password, only his email address.
I've tried everything I can and spoken to T-mobile, Nexus, Motorola and Google. I did give the kind Tech Support woman at Nexus the long number that is on a little white sticker on the SIM card holder which I was able to pop out of the top of the phone. This, unfortunately did not help.
I cannot imagine this newish (and expensive, I'm sure) phone is unusable.
Help!
