Can i put a cricket sim card into a new unlocked phone

Currently, my phone is bought from cricket wireless. Im planning to buy an LG G6, and I still want to use their service on it )bought from Amazon)(GSM unlocked). I was wondering whether taking the SIM out of my current (locked) phone and putting it into the new one would still function the same as if I was still using the current phone.

Yes, the unlocked G6 would function the same as any unlocked device. For Visual Voicemail you'll have to download Cricket's VVM app.
