Why does my tablet goes from 100% to 15 and then shuts down at 15 with no warning?

After my tablet is done charging I unplugged it to play, like 5 minutes later it shuts down and I can not turn it on without plugging it back in, after turning it on the battery was on 16% or less. This keeps happening.

It sounds like the battery may need replacing. How old is this tablet?

The reason for shutting down without warning is probably that you have both the warning and the shutdown set to 15%. (Or the warning is set to less than 15%.)

BTW, you should never let a lithium battery discharge to lower than 40%. Keep bringing it down to 15% and you'll be replacing the new battery in about 6 months.
