That's Bull! I've got stuff on my clipboard that hasn't been overwritten for months! Can't give a proper answer DON'T ANSWER!

NOW, HOW DO YOU CLEAN OFF THE CLIPBOARD MANUALLY SHORT DOWNLOADING YET ANOTHER APP TO CLOG UP THE SYSTEM!?

I've Undeleted Post 3, previously Deleted by a Moderator - not surprisingly perhaps. I have no other answer to offer.

What are you using to view your clipboard?

(How can you tell there's stuff on your clipboard?)

What is stored there is temporary, and will be either overwritten by new stuff, or cleared by rebooting. But there's no need to clear it.
Depends on the phone. On my LG V20, I have 20 clip tray slots that I can view by long pressing a text entry box and selecting the clip tray (though not every app fully supports this). Not only do the items survive a reboot, but they also survived a system update that came through yesterday.

^ I’ll have to try that sometime on my LG G3, which can store 10 clips.
I'm pretty sure I could do it on my G4, but don't know about earlier models. If it doesn't work on one app, try a few others before giving up. I can say it worked on the AC Forums app.

Samsung has a multiple entry clipboard, so you can't clear it by copying some junk (which you can on most phones and computers). Open your texting app. (Put in your phone number, so that if you accidentally send it you won't bother anyone.)

Long-press in the empty message box. You should be able to get to the clipboard, either by tapping "clipboard" or by tapping a little blue box that comes up. Then tap "clear". (It might work by long-pressing any text input box, it depends on the version of Android. Try it.)

You're right...I've just booted my G3 and the Clip Tray is full. There's a Bin icon, so I guess - and this is no more than a fantastically wild guess, you understand - it means you can empty it. I may even have done that on occasions in the past, but the chances of remembering that are not much above zero. I considered tapping the icon, but decided not to bother.

For Samsung S9 and S9+

Go to compose email screen as though you were getting ready to write an email

Hold down next to the flashing cursor line as though you were going to paste something

A small menu square will show up with two options, paste on the left and clipboard on the right

Press where it says clipboard and you will see the contents of your clipboard cache

You can either delete each seperate or clear all

Create a blank note, hold down until it gives you the paste and clipboard option. Select clipboard. It should show a trash can icon in the bottom right. Click that and it will delete all that aren't locked. This worked for my Samsung S9.
