Where is my GPS located?

Why is it that my location is on but still GPS apps request to turn on my GPS? But I can't locate it to turn it on?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Location can be determined from the GPS radio, your cell signal, and your wi-fi signal. It's possible for GPS to be turned off, but for location to be determined from the cell and wi-fi signal alone (which is the Battery Saving mode). If you turn on GPS with them, it's High Accuracy mode. Go to Settings>Location​, and see which mode you're in.
