AC Question

I was using an .xlsx file through Google Sheets to gather data for a study. I'm not sure entirely what happened, but for some reason the file closed suddenly on my phone. When I tried to reopen it, the phone warned that the file was corrupted and could not be opened. Now when I go to open it, it says that the file isn't available offline and mist be made available offline. Furthermore, the file is listed as 0 bytes. I tried downloading the file to my PC and repairing it in Excel there, but that didn't work as it just said again that the file was corrupted. I tried Recovery for Excel, but that didn't show any data to recover. Is there any way I can get my data back, or will I just have to start from scratch?

It got corrupted on the Google server and there's nothing you can do to get it back. Google doesn't restore previous backups for a single user.

(You should always have at least 2 backups of any important file - one locally, like a PC, and one on a cloud account.)
