    Thanks for the reply! I understand I can simply delete a contact, however they could still call or text so I "blocked" them which i would have thought eliminated future contact. They were still able to both text and leave me vm's? Is that normal?

    I understand the definition of linking thank you. The echoing occurred on a number I call all the time. Perhaps it was just a fluke of the day.

    Your carrier might be able to block a single number, but that's about the best you can do - the phone can't prevent a caller from leaving a vm on the carrier's vm server.

    For blocking texting, you need an app that can block texts. Look in your text app's settings to see if you have anything to block numbers, or if there's a spam setting (which would include your ability to list numbers that you consider spam - then just empty the spam messages once in a while).
