Why is my Samsung j5(2016) connected to WiFi only when I am close to the router?

Hi guys..
I have an issue with my Samsung Galaxy J5 2016. My wifi connection seems problematic because every time that I am close to the router Ive got 4 bars of wifi connection and once I go 3 feet away from it, it automatically loses wifi connection. I have tried rebooting both, I have tried static and DHCP changes and also I have tried most of the settings. Does anybody experience anything similar? Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! See if there's a lot of congestion for the current wi-fi channel, and try changing the channel the router uses -- see this guide for more info: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html

Also, does the phone have a case on? If so, see if the problem persists after taking the case off.

Three feet sounds as if the antenna connector came off (which can sometimes happen from even a slight drop to a hard surface). If it's under warranty, that's covered. If not, you'll have to bring it into a repair shop to get it fixed. (I strongly recommend against trying to do it yourself.)
