Thinking the latest update is making these phones go haywire

[Android Central Question]

Ever since the last update I have gone through two phones as they will stop charging and when this happens it causes the charging cord to get extremely hot when plugged into the phone, but will not send the charge to the phone, has happened with three different chargers and the Google charger is the one that gets the hottest, had this replacement for a little over a week now and the issue is starting all over again
