Why are app ads suddenly popping up everywhere?

Im getting pop up and full screen ad's showing up on my home screen, while texting, on Facebook. I have Norton and it says no malware. What else could do this and how do I fix it?

This has recently happened to me as well. I was able to track the most recent apps downloaded before this started happening and it was a specific app. I would use the app when i closed it an add would appear. It did not do this when I first started using the app only after a few days. Check to see on google play your recent apps they should list whether or not adds are applicable with the app.

Welcome to Android Central! Adware typically isn't identified as malware by security apps, since they're technically not malicious (just annoying). As mentioned above, adware is often included in various apps and games, so start uninstalling apps one by one until the ads go away.
