Any ideas how I can get Outlook/Outlook.com to sync?

I have searched but cannot find a workable solution.

Having recently moved from my W10M Lumia 950XL to Sony Xperia XZ Premium with some considerable trepidation, I have actually found the transition, so far, relatively painless (though I cannot decide whether I prefer Launcher 10 or the Microsoft launcher (which is actually growing on me).

My only issue, and it is a VERY BIG issue, is getting my outlook.com/Outlook 2016 setup to sync with the various MS Android apps.

Pt 2

I have to say that I'm not convinced it's entirely an Android related problem, but moreso a problem with outlook.com. The main problem seems to be that Outlook on my phone identifies my account, but will not authenticate despite all of my other MS account settings (OneNote, OneDrive, Office etc) doing so without a problem.

The simple situation is that I have an Office 365 Home account. This is linked to my MS account - info@????.org.uk as opposed to a Hotmail/live/outlook.com identity.

This seems to have created a problem in syncing to my account ever since MS 'upgraded' their exchange servers sometime towards the end of 2016, when emails were sent out saying you needed to reconnect which was all but impossible despite following the instructions to the letter!

Someone must have encountered a similar situation (which was beyond MS' online 'chat' help).

Should I create a new alias for the login of info@????.org.uk and then delete the old profile, to enable me to link with the 'new' identity?

Any help would be appreciated to help avoid me pulling out what little hair I have!

Thanks.
