Background: USPS (US Postal Service) has a feature where I "USED" to receive a Text Message with a package status and updates. I used this feature to let me know when a package was delivered to my front door. I no longer receive them.
I am adding this to show the Text Messages come from a 5 digit number:
For additional information, text HELP to 2USPS (28777). Text STOP to 2USPS to opt out.

When I use my wife's cell phone number she will receive the Text Msg.
When I use my cell phone number I do not get the Text Msg.

Questions:
1. Did I accidently Block the Sender?
2. How do I Unblock the Sender?
3. What information do you need to assist me with this problem.

Thank you,
Ron

if you ever checked block sender/toggled remember, be careful while deleting another message.
fwiw:
i see this message when i delete political add with stop, then delete.....careful not to click "remember"!!

I use informed delivery within the USPS app. I have to enter the individual tracking number and choose text or email notifications for every new tracking number

UPDATE:
I decided to upgrade my phone. I now have a Motorola G 2025.
Android 16
APP: Google Messenger, Motorola Messenger
Carrier: T-Mobile

1. I contacted T-Mobile and the CSR could see the Shortcodes being sent to my account but the phone was not receiving them.
2. I can have them sent to my wife's phone and she gets them.
3. I can have them sent to TextNow and I receive them there.

Questions:
1. Who's problem is it? USPS, Motorola, T-Mobile, or a setting on my phone?
2. How do I fix it?

Please do not hesitate to ask me questions about this problem.

so, have you checked your Spam/Blocked messages in Google Messages, like I suggested?

If you have Google back up on then long press the message app and tap info>storage>clear data then force stop the message app

In the same setting upper right corner tap 3 dots uninstall the message apps previous version and see if it works on that just don't let play store automatically update it.

Again doing this as long as Google back up is will repopulate the messages back

Hello Mustang,

First, thank you for assisting me. This is driving me crazy.

I did what you posted twice. Still no change. I even restated the phone after doing what you posted.
Any other suggestions?

Oh bummer thought one of those would have definitely helped.

Go to settings>connections>mobile network>APN tap then upper right corner tap 3 dots reset APN and retest

I am currently using Android 16. Some of the information is different from what you posted.
I think I found APN, But it says Reset to Default. Not sure I should do that.

Until you can get this figured out try getting notifications by email which I always do for UPS, Amazon, FedEx
I would except I have worked out an arrangement with the Postal Carrier. I live in a condo and if I am getting a BIG or HEAVY package she will input into the USPS device that the package was handed to the individual. She will do this while putting the other owners mail and packages in the Standing Mail Boxes. This gives me time to walk up to wait for her to drive over to me. She hands me the package so she doesn't have to walk down to my condo.

This allows me to receive the package without it sitting in front of my door and the carrier gets to end her route earlier.
