Why does restarting my phone give me back 4g lte?

I bought a Motorola e4 plus and it works fine most of the time, but it will eventually lose connection and will only use data at 3g speed- sometimes less, or no connection. I have to restart my phone just to get my connection back. This happens everywhere I go. My old phone never had this problem.

My phone is a 7.1.1 android. Do 8 have to download old firmware, reinstall this firmware?

Welcome to Android Central! Who's your carrier? Ask them if you can try a replacement SIM card.

My carrier is Verizon. Hate to hear that I might need a new Sim card. I bought a case you have to break to get to it.

Before you break the case, see if the problem happens in Safe Mode as well.
