Android Central Question

I have a Samsung S8 and up to yesterday I've had no problems. Yesterday I received a software update which I allowed and ever since I can't get onto my ISP (3) or make any phone calls.

I continually get 'not registered on network' and if I go into my sim settings there is no ISP registered. I have backed up my phone and done a factory re-set (Sumsung's suggestion) and 3 seems to be at a loss.

I have done a network search but I can't register on 3.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do short of sending my phone back to Samsung and being without a phone for 7-10 days?

Reflash the pre-update version of the firmware (and root it so it doesn't update again).

Or, if 3 sent the update, and the law works the same in the UK as it does in the US (and since our laws derive from yours, it probably does), it's a liability issue. They broke your phone, so they have to fix or replace it. (Of course, if Samsung sent the update, it's their liability, so you'd have to send it to them.)
