Make sure you not only changed the password/PIN on your phone, but also all your social media accounts, email accounts, messaging accounts.

Check the account settings for each account to make sure that his phone/email is not listed as one of the emergency/recovery contacts.

While he had your phone, he could have installed anyone of dozens of Spyware and made an account directly in your Gmail. I would factory reset the phone. Go to a desktop and save the emails you want to a new account that you will access after the reset. New username, password. Physically enter your contacts and calender. Delete everything then deactivate the Google account permanently. You'll have a new email address, and maybe solve the problem. Getting a new phone on top of this would be great. Never sign into any old mail accounts with the new phone.

The other thing you can do is force all previous sessions to authenticate after changing your password. This will force other devices to reauthenticate with your new credentials.
