Cant make apple music a default app for google assistant.

I'm having trouble linking my Apple music account to Google assistant.

Google assistant tells me I need to pick a default app - then only gives me the choice of 'play music' or 'spotify'.

Is there a way I can make Apple music an option?
Or is it a childish war going on between Google and apple?
