Why hi can't turn on my hotspot keep saying invalid Sim card

Hi living in Jamaica hi have a galaxy s5 my hotspot not working it keep saying invalid Sim I'm using digicel network in Jamaica the phone comes with a AT&T sim card.

Hotspot functionality is tied to your carrier. If your SIM card doesn't include hotspot data, then the built-in hotspot function won't work (and your carrier needs to enable it for your plan).

Welcome to Android Central! I think carrier-branded phones might require you to be on that carrier's network to use the wi-fi tethering feature. Also, some wireless plans don't include tethering -- does your Digicel plan include it?
