Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which carrier? Are you having problems making or receiving calls as well, or accessing the web via mobile data?

Receiving and opening text messages are two different things -- problems with the former imply a network issue, while problems with the latter imply a problem with the messaging app. Can you describe in more detail the problem you're having?
