Apps storage reporting wrong total?

[Android Central Question]

I have an LG Aristo running Android 7, and it's been saying that memory is nearly full. So I went into Settings>Storage>Apps to see what's taking up so much space. According to that list, my Gallery is using 4.39 GB, but when I go into the Gallery and add up the file size of all the pictures and videos (32 camera pics, 1 downloaded video, and 31 screenshots total), it doesn't even add up to 200MB. I'm at a loss as to why there's such a discrepancy. Has anyone else run into this?
