Due to some apps that I need to run on my phone, I need to keep my location settings to "phone only". It has run perfectly like this for the past year but all of a sudden, I'm getting these "For best result, let your device turn on location, which uses Google's location service".

I've turned off as many notifications that I can think of as well as clearing various application data & cache.

This happened before about a year ago and was able to get the notifications to stop and can't remember how to do it. Any idea on how to fix this?

You can turn on location, which is helpful for many things... Navigation for one, web searches using the phrase "near me" for another or geofenced reminders from your assistant. There are many conveniences to allowing location.

Then go through App permisions and remove Location permission from those Apps you feel should not have it.

I'm not really aware of any Apps that require location to be turned off to function properly. Could you give an example?

If it's just that not allowing location to those apps makes you more comfortable, you can turn the permission off on an app-by-app basis as I've outlined.
