How to check a tablet's screen scrolling performance

Before buying any tablet online, how can I check that, the screen scrolling by finger swapping would be like, say IPad, very smooth and silky? In some cases, even in some mid-range Samsung Galaxy Tabs, I have experienced very sluggish and rickety screen movements. So, how can I satisfy myself with technical specification that, the screen movements, or the scrolling, as they call it, would be smooth, without any laxity?

I don't think that you can tell that from the technical specifications.

Go to a store that carries the tablet you're interested and try it for yourself.
