My Samsung tab is constantly downloading (receiving) data.

Hi, I have a Samsung galaxy tab A 7 and tab A 8 (SM-T280 and SM-T350) respectively. I have noticed that these tabs are constantly receiling something from my Telus Modem. I tried tracking this from Bitshark and the ip addresses shown on this app are my modem, and two PVR'S. Other connected devices too but very rare. Yesterday I turned off both the PVR'S and the rreceiving came down to minimal. Is there any app that can block this data or stop this downloading from happening. New to Android so will appecrate all the help and support.
