Amazon music issue with Oreo update/HTC10

Before Oreo I could bluetooth stream my Amazon Music in my 2015 BMW and it would show song title/artist/folder/playlist etc with no issues. Since the update, none of that information shows up. It still plays the music but I can't change artist/playlist, etc. My car's software is up to date, as is my HTC10 software. This specifically started happening after the Oreo update. I tried unlinking and relinking the BT, tried changing the BT developer options from 1.4 to 1.5 and 1.6. Reinstalled the Amazon music app, nothing has worked. Please help!

The media profile in the update probably doesn't match the car's media profile closely enough to handle the metadata. Not much you can do but complain to HTC or BMW.
