Moto g4 plus charger burn issue

When I plugged in my charger, there was a sudden smoke coming out of the charger.I immediately removed the charger from the socket. My phone and charger are working just fine now. But that sudden blast of smoke worries me. Should I change my Moto g4 plus charger? Is it safe to use it now?

We cannot know that. Smoke from electrical equipment is, however, a bad sign.
