Help with Oreo

[Android Central Question]

I installed oreo, since then my notifications don't work, missed calls, badge counter. I have tried everything to get this stuff to work. I'm not going to do a reset, I'm now carrying around a paperweight. Any help?

With that out of the way - sometimes devices DO need to be reset when a major OS update is installed. No, it doesn't happen every time but it does happen.
