Audio on Bluetooth stops when plugging in Microphone

Hi all.

I have a Google Pixel 2 XL, running Android P Beta.
I have following prolem: When I'm listening to music through my Bluetooth headset, as soon as I plug in the USB-C Minijack adapter with my Røde SmartLav+ the music stops playing from the headset.

If I go into bluetooth device management and toggle off/on Media Audio, it will go back to the headset.

But is there anything I can do, for it to play by default in the headset.
