How can I edit my icons after new androud update?

I personalized many of app icons on my phone (it was easy to do and it was one of my favorite options on that phone) Now after update all my personalized icons dissapired (I see only ugly grey shortcuts, which doesn't work) an I don't know how can I customize my shortcut icons (by taping - holding - and taping again as before it doesn't work)...

By using any icon pack you can personalize your phone. There are free and paid icon packs that you can use.
