Why wont the notifications stop

[Android Central Question]

When ever I get a message sent to me my phone vibrates and makes a sound like it should. The problem is it wont stop. Every 20 seconds or so it vibrates and rings til I either dismiss the notification or open it. Is this a setting or an error? Please help.

Welcome to the forums. What phone do you have? Take a look in your accessibility settings and make sure that the 'notification reminder' option is disabled.
