Hi,

Thought I'd try a little bit of android app development but ran into USB issues.

1) Previously (a weeks ago) my J5 would connect and I could view files etc after allowing it on the phone.
2) I've installed the Android studio.
3) I've installed Kies.

Now have issues.

After a reboot the PC sees the device and loaded the drivers as below:
SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device
SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem
SAMSUNG Andriod ADB Interface
Galaxy J5

If I then allow access to files using MTP the PC say the device is not recognized.
If I reboot and change the USB configuration under Developer options to charging (while disconnected) the PC will connect again.
If I then change to MTP the PC sees it as an unrecognised device.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled Kies but the issue is the same.
It seems that the PC driver is either not functioning correctly or it's being overwritten when MTP is selected on the phone.

It's running driver 1.5.61.0.

I did manage to deploy a simple app yesterday but I can't remember what state the phone was in. So the hardware is OK
I also tried 3 different cables.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Many thanks
Andy
