Welcome to Android Central! Do you use an email account that uses an Exchange Server? If you do, then go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, select Exchange Services, and Clear Cache. If you don't use an Exchange Server, then also Clear Data from that app. Now see if the problem persists.
