TabS2 keyboard not working in Chrome?

When browsing in Chrome, the first call to the keyboard, ie Google search box, works OK. Then exit Google and try to enter text in another test box, say ebay, then although the keyboard appears and the type appears in the keyboard suggestion bar, it doesn't in the text box. Only way around it is to either close chrome and reopen or open a new tab. I've tried flushing data and cache of both the keyboard (SwiftKey) and chrome, ensured both are up to date, turned off the tablet, tried Samsung keyboard and Google keyboard all with the same results. Driving me nuts. Can anyone suggest a way to correct this?

Fixed by disabling chrome, powering down, and then re enabling chrome. Synced back to the phone to restore bookmarks and the problem was solved.

Except..... Once chrome updated to the latest version it was back to the problem.

Any ideas for a fix anyone?

Since it reappeared after you synced, do it again, turn off synching add your apps 1 at a time to see which is causing your glitch.
