Welcome to Android Central! Are you installing it using the Play Store app? That's always the best way to install an app.

Is it an app? A video? A document? If you'r talking about the Redbox app, and you installed it from Play, it installs automatically. But that wouldn't be in Downloads. (Case counts in names in Linux.) If you downloaded a file named Redbox, we'd have to know the file type (the letters to the right of the dot) to be able to tell you how to proceed. (And please join the Android Central community , so you can post your answer here.) Phones don't open files, apps open files and, depending on the file type, you may not have an app to open that type of file.
