My Pixel 2 won't turn on but will make loud sounds

[Android Central Question]

Charged my Pixel 2 this morning, got it up near full, then left my phone in my bag all day. Evening came, tried to turn it on, didn't work. Have it plugged in, now it's making loud guitar strumming noises every five minutes or so. Have tried to reboot using power and volume down keys, but it refuses it cooperate. No visible signs of damage, but yesterday the phone stopped accepting the AUX adapter that came with the it. Not sure if that has anything to do with the current issue, but I;d like to figure out how to fix it.

Welcome to Android Central! Press and hold Power for about 20 seconds to force a shutdown. Then wait a few seconds, and press and hold Power again for another 20 seconds. Does the same thing happen?
