Pandora, note 9, gear s2, speaker not playing nice together

I searched and didn't find an answer. How do i keep Pandora from pausing when my watch is connected to it. I have my watch connected to my phone. I have a speaker connected to my phone via Bluetooth as well. I have my phone and speaker on my desk playing Pandora. When i walk away and my watch is out of range, it will disconnect from the phone as naturally it is expected to. But also Pandora will pause. I don't want the music to pause at all. I am on a note 9, Galaxy gear s2 and ultimate ears boom 2 speaker.
