Why am I getting infinite loading and unable to access apps from Note 9 for Gear S2?

[Android Central Question]

Right under where it says "Samsung Gear S2" on the wearable app it shows the watch face and right next to that it just says "Loading". I'm also unable to access the apps at all as clicking on it just loads as well with "Please Wait". Ive factory reset the watch but it's not changed anything. I get calls and notifications forwarded to the phone just fine. I have 3g turned off as I simply don' t want to add it to my plan yet.
