Android Central Question

Does mobile games increase the hot spot data usage when it's turned on? Cause I've always used the hot spot for minecraft, around every 2 hours it uses 250 to 300MegaBytes, now it used 1.4gigabytes within 30minutes. I have no clue whats going on with my hot spot. If you have an explanation will be nice. Thanks.

The hotspot itself doesn't use data. Anything you run through the hotspot, including games from another phone, does. If you use wifi for the game on the phone you're playing it, it uses widi, not the hotspot.

If you install Minecraft on your phone, turn off mobile data and turn on Wifi, you won't be using any mobile data, you'll be using wifi.

(A hotspot is just a router. The internet connection it uses is your mobile data. Routers don't use data, the devices connected to them do.)
