The photos and videos that I have sent via Kik used to save to their own folder in my gallery. Since I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, this feature does not happen. where are these photos going?

Kik will not save my pictures as of yesterday
As of yesterday it was working fine , if someone sent me a pic or video in kik , I could click on the download icon and then it would give me a checkmark and then the pic would be saved on my camera roll & uploaded into my gallery on my samsung galaxy s10 and it even created a folder named kik where the pics were and now for some reason unknown if I download a pic from kik it says "Image saved " but the image is not in the camera roll or in the kik folder for my galley and I cannot find it on my phone ? Should I just quit kik because there are no answers and not support ?

I am experiencing the same issue. I also have a Samsung s10+. It was working fine a couple days ago. Maybe it has something to do with the kik update that happened on the 10-18-21. My kik app only has access to view media files.

Seems like this a issue lately , should reach out to developer of kik and see what they say

I have the same issue with the same phone! Also started the 23rd. Haven't been able to find any help yet, but it's odd for sure.

I have all the setting allowing kik to access files. It says image saved. But nothing in my gallery. Or in my kik file in file explorer.

yep most of us are not able to save images anymore .. i even removed and installed again which was a ****ty idea to begin with shud have stayed as is.. roll back to older option if cant fix asap
