Android Central Question

Months of timeline history disappeared off Google Maps online. Don't know why - it just disappeared.

However, all the timeline history is still on my phone, but not showing up online. Location sharing is on and I am signed in to the correct Google account. Would like to continue to look at my timeline from my PC - however not sure how to get the Pixel 2 to update it.

Frustrating and worried my timeline will disappear off my phone like it did online.

On the phone's Settings>Accounts>Google page, is everything turned on to sync? Are there any Sync Errors showing up?

Yes, all synced except Google Play Movies & TV (which I don't use).

What's weird - if I edit a location from the timeline on my phone for a date that's missing online, then that leg of the timeline shows up online along with the pictures taken associated with that leg. If edit the start and end locations of the day, then the entire route shows for the day (along with pictures), but does not have the times or stops in between.

Unfortunately, no.

I tried to search my problem before posting and my searches led me to that q&a. I tried everything there first and that's how I found this forum.

Rats.

I am having this exact problem on my Pixel 3XL. I have been though all the settings and sync and history are all are on, no old phones are on the account, but it stopped updating my timeline at the begining on June. I wonder if it is something with Pixel phones.

Update: I sent a feedback note on the problem through the maps app and it was working again later in the day. Not sure if this will work for everyone. I am enrolled in the Beta Test Version of the app, so that might be a factor
