Galaxy S8+ cuts off my text messages

I have the problem with a long text message sent to me being delivered in many small messages and I believe I understand why that is happening. But also, if someone sends me a long text I will get the first part and then "view all". When I click on that it is a blank screen. So I can never read the end of the message. It's only or mostly from iPhone users.

Hmmm.. Have you owned an iPhone previously? It may have something to do with iMessage or whatever it is called....?

If you've ever had an iPhone, either remove the phone from iMessage (using a Mac) or ask an Apple store to do it for you if you don't have access to it any longer.

Ask all your iPhone friends (whether you've had an iPhone and fixed that problem or if you've never had one) to send you at least one message with the SMS box ticked. Then their iPhones will remember to send you SMS messages, not iMessages. (Android doesn't do iMessages - it's a proprietary Apple protocol and they won't allow anyone else to use it.)
