Question Android Used Google Messages Question

I noticed a few "used google messages" showing up under My activity. However, they do not show up on my carrier text messages detailed report. Does tis mean that someone is trying to hide these messages somehow? Does it mean they are using the google message chat?

Welcome to Android Central! Apps can ping your Google account at various times to refresh data, so they don't have to be actively in use when they show up in My Activity. I wouldn't worry about it.

Than you for the information. I am just trying to figure out if our son was using at that time. I know there are times when he is using it and it does show under his My Activity and there are times he is using it and it doesnt show under his My Activity.

His Whatsapp shows last seen 11/7 at 6:21pm and his My Activity shows used at 11/7 at 6:50 pm. Thats why I was asking.

Yeah, I wouldn't make any assumptions based on that. Apps can be active on their own doing routine things without the user actually opening it into the foreground.

I've started using WhatsApp 6 months ago for one irregular client / company.

It's a pain that other Contacts can SEE when you've been online, but you can turn that off or exclude most Contacts under Privacy - Last seen and Online, so I think that 'might' answer your question.

I also turn off the Read Receipts blue ticks, except for the days I'm dealing with my group.
