Cannot get into phone

[Android Central Question]

When I swipe my phone to get into it, it's now looking for a password (I do not have it password protected) and says emergency. I have tried any password that I think it may be. Nothing works. It has 4 more log ins then it will factory reset it says, please advise

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? If it's a Samsung, you could try Find My Mobile to remotely unlock it: https://findmymobile.samsung.com/

A password requirement doesn't suddenly appear out of thin air, unless (a) this isn't really your phone, or (b) the phone has massively glitched. If the latter, then I agree with belodion, contact the manufacturer. If the former, then I suggest you bring it to your local police.
