Best SD card encryption

I'm sure it's ask/answereon process every time. I have a Moto G5 plus running Oreo 8.1. Thanks for any helpd before. I want to encrypt my SD card so that if the phone is lost/stolen the files are protected. But I'd like when I open Photos it displays them with out having to go through a decryption. Use the built in encryption for SD. Each time the device is unlocked the card is decrypted and no additional steps are needed to access or use items from the card. When the phone is locked the card is encrypted. I'm not sure what you're asking for unless you think encryption is something that you have to add. You should find it in your settings probably under security but possibly under data.

FYI some devices automatically encrypt both the phone and the card by default. Not sure if Moto is one, but have you tried popping it into a card reader just to see?
