Cannot connect to internet attachments from email

Everytime I try to click on internet connection from within an email, I get a message that the tab has crashed, please reload. Am able to connect to internet from chrome.

Welcome to Android Central! Which device, and which email app? Do you mean that when you tap a hyperlink in an email, you get the error message? What does the error message say exactly? Does this only happen on wi-fi, or also on mobile data?

If it's a properly formed URL, it sounds like a problem with Chrome, but the email app could be munging the URL before sending it to Chrome (which shouldn't crash the tab anyway - at worst, you should get "This site can’t be reached" on a fairly blank page).

I'd contact apps-help@google.com. (Make sure you have Chrome updated to the latest version. Check in Play - if the button says Update, update it, then check.)
