Probably because the slo-mo is being done during playback, not during record, so the file has to be played back on an A50. (Recording for half speed playback means recording at double speed, which means files that are twice as large. 4 times as slow, 4 times as large. Normal speed with a "play at 1/4 speed" flag in the header doesn't increase the file size.)
